Dr. Leila Armans has been in practice since 2009 and in that time has treated a variety of conditions. She utilizes an evidence-based approach to treatment and addresses her most challenging cases as creatively as possible through a wide range of techniques. Her greatest passion is in the resolution of whiplash, headaches, neck and jaw pain. Dr. Armans, fluent in Farsi, Arabic and English, has dedicated her life to helping people through Chiropractic care. Dr. Armans attended Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon and in 2009 received her Doctorate degree with Clinical Honors in Chiropractic. In 2005 she received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology from Portland State University. Since her graduation from Western States, Dr. Armans has earned advanced certifications in whiplash and mild brain traumatology with extensive studies in motor vehicle crash forensics and occupant crash kinematics. Because of her extensive knowledge in these areas, she is highly trained in the prevention and treatment of auto injuries as well in their legal representation through expert testimony should they go to trial. She feels good rapport with claims adjustor’s is essential and can assist the patient in the navigation of their case should they need an attorney or if an IME is requested by their insurance company.
Emily is a native Oregonian and a classically trained ballet dancer and ballet instructor. She specializes in sports medicine for athletes – specifically dancers, gymnasts, climbers, yogis and cyclists – as well as chronic pain management and traumatic injuries. Emily received a Master of Science in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (MSAOM) from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, the #1 ranked school of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the United States. In addition, she holds a B.S in Environmental Policy from Barnard College.
Emily enjoys helping people get back to doing what they love after injury. She views injury as an opportunity to learn about one’s body mechanics and potential muscle imbalances – so that one can emerge from the experience stronger and more balanced. In addition to treating musculoskeletal conditions, Emily works with her clients to reduce stress and anxiety, restore balance and promote restful sleep.
Native from Japan, Fumi has been enjoying living in Oregon for almost two decades. Before choosing the path of Oriental Medicine, she practiced a various styles of yoga including Astanga and Shadow Yoga for years and completed a 3-year yoga teacher training in 2009. Having worked in corporate environments, Fumi understands how easy to get into a possibly self-destructive habitual pattern. She hopes to bring her treatments to help people who seek for a transformation toward more grounded perception and receptivity in order to enjoy their lives more deeply while enhancing individual’s innate healing capacity. She graduated from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with an MAcOM and also holds an MA in Asian Studies from University of Oregon. While she is not engaged in medicine and healing, she enjoys rock climbing, being in the nature, sewing, cooking and calligraphy
Serah received her undergrad in human biology in 2011 and is in constant amaze and wonder at how the human body works. She has been a chiropractic assistant for over 3 years, assisting the doctor with electric muscle stimulation, ultra sound, gua sha, and massage. With her background in teaching yoga, Pilates, and group fitness classes she enjoys teaching proper body alignment, core strength, and stretches that help prevent injury and promote recovery. When Serah is away from the clinic she enjoys yoga, meditation, gardening, cooking, playing ukulele, dancing to live music, and experiencing the great outdoors.
Comice studied massage therapy at East West College of healing Arts. She specializes in Deep Tissue, Fascial Release, Swedish and Thai massage. Her goal is to help her clients create balance within, and therefore positive transformation. She combines the important knowledge of muscles and connective tissues, as well as bodily systems and how they all affect each other with her keen intuitive talents to create unique massage experiences, customized for each client’s specific needs.
Her core belief is that we are all given the tools we need for a healthy vibrant existence, but in our fast paced stressed filled lives we can easily be pushed off balance; that is when pain, dis-ease and unhappiness can begin to plant their seeds in our bodies. In her experience, massage therapists can be excellent catalysts for re balance and therefore renewed health and happiness.
